Students are picked up from the
bus ramp and taken to the
cafeteria for breakfast. Students
who arrive after the tardy bell must
be checked in at Student
Services. We are a working
classroom with focus on functional
math and reading skills. We also
focus on daily living skills such as
personal hygiene, household
chores, that include washing
clothes, cooking and cleaning the
kitchen and washing dishes. We
hold several fund raisers per year
that involve cooking and meal
planning.
Students are required to follow all
St. Tammany Parish School rules
and guidelines. The school uses
the 3R guidelines that are Respect,
Responsibility and Resolution.
Respect: Treat others the way
you want to be treated.
Responsibility: Doing the right
thing even when no one is
watching.
Resolution: Solving issues before
they become an issue.
Grades: Students will not
automatically receive an "A"
classwork is set at 1/2 a grade level
above their actual level to keep
them challenged.
